Jodie Foster Puts the Smackdown on Teen Paparazzo
Jodie Foster, award winning star of blockbusters such as Silence of the Lambs and Taxi Driver, is suspected of assaulting “a professional paparazzi” last month when leaving an L.A. theater with her two sons, according to Foster’s reps.
Although the Oscar winning actress has not yet been charged, LAPD has named her as a misdemeanor battery suspect in an incident taking place on May 29 at LA’s Grove Mall.
Jennifer Allen, whom represents Foster, issued a statement on Friday stating:
“The young man was most definitely a professional paparazzi. He had a large camera bag and a 1000 mm telephoto lens. He tailed Jodie and her young sons from the movie theater to valet parking. He crowded her and her children and took photos of them the whole time. She touched him on the elbow in an attempt to take him aside to talk to him and tell him to stop. He scared the kids.”
Jodie’s sons are ages 11 and 8.
According to various reports, the teen claimed to suffer visible injury.
No word on any court dates or what could happen to Jodie. So tell us what you think? Did she overreact? Or do you think she was justified?
