Jackson Rathbone’s Newest Gig

Alright Jasper fans, you asked for more Jackson and it looks like he heard you! The newest buzz around town is that The Twilight Saga’s Jackson Rathbone has signed on to do what could potentially be a recurring role on the new ABC sitcom No Ordinary Family.

Well, already we are sure that he can handle it…after all, it’s not like the Cullen clan is anything ordinary.

The role Jackson will play will be that of a high school student whose family falls victim to a home invasion. Jackson’s character will be classmates with telepathic Daphne who we are guessing will get the fam together to help J-Bone out.

Well, what’s a Jackson Rathbone project without super powers, right?

No Ordinary Family premieres on ABC Tuesday, September 28th.

Filming for Breaking Dawn will start this winter where Jackson will reprise his role as Jasper Cullen.

We aren’t sure yet when Jackson’s spot will be, but we’ll let you know as soon as it’s released!

So do you plan on watching Jackson on No Ordinary Family?

Matthew Perry Proves That He’ll Be There for His ‘Friends’

Been thinking about dogging David Schwimmer or any of the other famous ‘Friends’? Not on Matthew Perry’s watch!

While promoting his newest project on ABC, “Mr. Sunshine”, at a panel at the Television Critics Association on Sunday, one ill thinking reporter decided to take a couple jabs at Matt’s former costar, David Schwimmer.

A transcript of the awkward convo we found on Yahoo! shows Perry handled the situation:

REPORTER: “For Matthew: All the ‘Friends’ are sort of cooking along pretty well these days, except, it seems, for David. We don’t see him very much.”

MATTHEW PERRY: “Now, if David were here, would you say, ‘Except, it seems, for Matthew’?”

REPORTER: “It seems as if you and Matt and certainly Lisa and Courteney are all pretty darn successful on TV, and maybe I’m missing something with David in the movies.”

PERRY: “Are we anywhere near a question?”

REPORTER: “Do you ever see David, and does he talk to you about his goals?”

PERRY: “‘Does he talk about his goals?'”

REPORTER: “Say that again.”

PERRY: “‘Does he talk about his goals?’ Is that what you said?”

REPORTER: “His goals, yes.”

PERRY: “I have not seen David in a while, but I – I would assume he’s doing exactly what he wants to be doing. … You know, he loves directing. He loves the theater. So he’s probably doing a bunch of that lame stuff.”

Obviously, Matthew was being awesomely sarcastic in response to the half witted reporter. I mean, come on! First of all, it is common knowledge that the famous Friends are all probably filthy rich, so even if Dave didn’t want to do anything publicly ever again, I mean, who can blame him? If the guy wants to sit around his house eating Twinkies and watching cartoons for the next twenty years, he can probably afford it.

However, this is all a moot point because David hasn’t been just sitting around, as a matter of fact, his second directorial debut is set to premiere next month at the Toronto Film Festival. This past weekend (yes, the very same weekend of this conversation between Perry and the reporter!) the trailer for Schwimmer’s film “Trust”, starring the mougalicious Clive Owen, was released online. So there!

So what do you Celebstalker’s think about the exchange between Perry and the reporter? Echo and Foxtrot think it is uber awesome!!

Rachelle LeFevre Lands Lead Character in New TV Role

Rachelle Lefevre, made famous for playing the role of vengeful vampire Victoria in the first two installments of The Twilight Saga (Twilight and New Moon) has landed a lead role in a new show.

Lefevre will play a “hippy doctor” named Eva on Shonda Rimes’ (creator of Grey’s Anatomy) newest medical drama, Off the Map. The new show will air on the ABC network beginning in 2011.

The show will also feature Caroline Dhavernas from the new Jennifer Aniston/Jason Bateman collaboration The Switch, Mamie Gummer (daughter of Meryl Streep) and Enrique Murciano (C.S.I. and Without a Trace). Sorry ladies! No McDreamy on this one!

This will not be Rachelle’s small screen debut. Before she hit it big in the Twilight films by tormenting Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and the rest of the Cullens, she had recurring roles on Boston Legal and Swingtown and has had guest spots on shows such as CSI and How I Met Your Mother.

You can also see Rachelle in her upcoming films, thriller The Caller, in which she costars with Stephen Moyer and Luiz Guzman, and the comedy Barney’s Version, in which she appears in an all star cast including Dustin Hoffman, Paul Giamatti and Minnie Driver.

Are any of you Celebstalker’s looking forward to seeing Rachelle in any of these projects? Tell us which one you are most excited about!!
